Robin Hood Way
Welcome to the Robin Hood Way
Nottinghamshire's Longest Recreational Walking Route

Diversions Updates

The works required are to quote complex engineering issues with no short term fix. Further investigations are in hand including ground assessment across a wide area and full topographical survey is required.
This will enable the Council and partners to make a decision on how to deal with this repair and provide the basis for a feasibility study and cost. I attach a map of the site. This means we need to provide an alternative route for the Robin Hood Way:

From SK 618 659  at the side of River Maun, turn right along track into Edwinstowe to meet Mill Lane. Turn left along Mill Lane to reach High Street. Turn left along High Street into West Lane to take a left turn into Fourth Avenue. Then a further left into First Avenue then bear right continue along Sixth Avenue to its end  to join Edwinstowe BW12. Follow this bridleway by side of River Maun to rejoin the Robin Hood Way.

We apologise for this diversion but in the interest of health and safety Notts County Council have closed the right of way for complex engineering works to be undertaken.
